Intel works fine with Ati/AMD.
Why a quadcore for gaming? Allthough you are probably an nvidia fanboy, the 3870x2 is good GPU (a while ago ati/amd made a good one).
And dont use watercooling. Air cooling is just as quiet and you cant get leakages.

Quote: I wouldn't reccomend intel/nvidia in use with ati/amd becouse it does have some problems in some cases, atleast more so than a intel with nvidia or ati with amd stup. This is becouse it's a 2 side 'fight' atm with ati/amd on one side and intel with nvidia on the other... It's compatibility issues which you might encounter... not saying you will encounter them.
AMD and intel might not be good friends, still their products are compatibel.
It has been tested many times, a good aircooling is just as good + quiet as watercooling and is much cheaper.
I never really understood why people buy ridiculous expensive computers, and then additionally OC it so much they need water or phase change cooling. With your new comp you can put everything on max allready, why OC it any further? Just OC it when you cant put games on max anymore.
